China Labour Costs Push Jobs Back to US

I found this FT article, which notes that 3 million US jobs could be created by 2020 due to 're-shoring' quite interesting.

I remember a conversation I had about one or two years back with my ex-boss. I told him I noticed a trend of some European and US suppliers becoming more cost-competitive with China and he remarked that one day, it was possible that Chinese producers would become more expensive than Europe.

China's workers, I must remark, are on the most part very efficient. So I think this article discounts productivity. Technology and productivity are also key - and I get the impression that both are lagging in the US.
