The VIX Finally MU'ved... Yes, it did, LUV!


Fear really seems to be prevailing as gold and VIX both spiked up today, with the VIX marching up +15.11%.

Just after I got faked out of my VIX $14 calls...  

Thank the Lord I still have some $17 calls and if we really, really get above $20, then I'll get a cash settlement on 16 October 2013.  I'm hoping and praying for a 25 VIX.  Keep speaking, Speaker Boehner!  I like your rhetoric.  

What I'm not getting is why it's so difficult to get a 5% move in edgewise with AAPL.  Perhaps the 0.80 beta has something to do with it?
