Maria's Got Ashton Kutcher, But Thankfully, I've Got Puts...
I don't know which was more exciting - Ashton Kutcher on CNBC or the puts I had in my portfolio. Who knew that Ashton Kutcher was so articulate? And who knew puts could be so fun? Over the past few months, I've forgotten the joy of trading, but my portfolio fought back today and if this is the turn of the trend I've been trading for over the past few months, it would be so worth the wait!
SD is seeing some upside during Extended Hours Trading. Not entirely sure why... The company reported a net loss of $0.07 for common stockholders and adjusted net income of $0.08 per share... The market was expecting a $0.03 loss and instead got a $0.07 loss.
In light of the market action, I guess I let go of a good thing prematurely by only keeping 1/3 of my original SD calls...
But potentially good news for my PER and SDR calls - maybe, sort of. The operating costs of Permian wells decreased about 14% from a year ago whilst Mississippian wells decreased by about 4% on a quarterly basis.
Finally... and I hope the fun continues tomorrow...
